The Game Of Surprise
8 mins
Some people find their favorite order and stick to it forever. Others treat the menu like a personality test. This is the story of someone who turned curiosity into a weekly ritual—and accidentally challenged our kitchen to get more creative too.
“Surprise Me Again”
Every restaurant has that one regular.
For us, it’s the customer who refuses to order the same thing twice. One day it’s a spicy sandwich with extra pickles, the next it’s a dessert nobody notices on the menu. Eventually, the staff stopped asking what they wanted and started asking what mood they were in.
Somewhere along the way, it became a game between the kitchen and the customer—and honestly, everyone got way too invested in it.
/OUR TEAM LOVES EXPERIMENTING
Why We Love People Like This
Curious people make restaurants more fun.
They push the kitchen to experiment, encourage conversations, and remind us that food should feel exciting sometimes—not just routine. Some of our favorite menu ideas actually started because someone was willing to try “whatever the chef feels like making today.”
Turns out the best dishes don’t always begin with recipes. Sometimes they begin with trust.
Restaurants become memorable because of people like this—the curious ones, the adventurous ones, the people willing to trust the kitchen. They remind us that dining out should feel a little fun, a little unexpected, and occasionally worth talking about long after the plates are cleared.
